I have an Android HTC Wildfire. When I try to download it from the Android Market, I get the message that it canon be installed on my Android. What goes. Wrong?

    • Ania

      December 18, 2011

Hi Peter. It might be either due to weak device or OS under 2.2. Android market doesn’t allow installation on devices that don’t fit app’s requirements (those requirements are written on the right to the Android market description).

  • Jules

    December 15, 2011

Peter, on the android market they say that the app doesn’t support the resolution(240*320) of the HTC wildfire, or maybe you have OS under 2.2? hope you’ll get to see the app anyway, it’s really cool. Cheers mate!

Why does this meed to know my location? Fine GPS is selected

    • Ania

      December 18, 2011

Hi William. In order to have proper EXIF (photo data) of the photo user is uploading, we need to know that. In the future, more geo-location features are planned to be added to enhance genealogical research.

Is there an Apple version of My Heritage available, as well?

    • Ania

      December 17, 2011

Hi Cathlee. If you are referring to a version of the Family Tree Builder for Mac or Apple, the software does not support the Mac yet but we plan to address this in the future.

    Cathleen, check out

William, I think it’s related to the photo-sharing part of the app, so when it’s on your family site it has all the data of the photo.

    Enjoy!

It appears that although I run Android 2.2.1 on my HTC Wildfire it says it is not compatible with this application. Is this so, and will you make the app compatible? If it should be compatible, how do I load the app?

    • Ania

      December 19, 2011

Hi Albert. MyHeritage app for Android currently does not support Android OS below 2.2 and low resolution screens. The new HTML5-based tree will soon be available on MyHeritage.com. Stay tuned for updates.

Thanks for the, potentially, nice app.
I’ve installed it on the iPad, but i only can see a part of the family tree.
In my case only 47 of 162 persons are shown.
I do not see any option screen for setting, for example, the number of generations to show.
Any idea if this is a tree issue or an app issue ?

Great app!! But bit frustrating that you cannot add family members on the app. When logged online on my iPad I cannot add people in because apple do not support flash on iPad which means that you cannot see the family. Bit of a downside to this app.
