Check Out the New, Improved Legacy Family Tree Webinars Website
Legacy Family Tree Webinars, a world pioneer in online genealogy education, is one of MyHeritage’s treasured acquisitions. Founded by professional genealogist Geoff Rasmussen in 2010, Legacy has been offering the best in online educational genealogy webinar content for more than a decade, and we acquired it in 2017. The site has featured more than 1,600 live and recorded webinars so far, taught by top experts in family history research and enjoyed by genealogists of all skill levels all across the globe.
We wanted to make the valuable content on this site even easier to access and more user-friendly than before, so we embarked on a serious overhaul. The resulting new, improved website is faster, easier to navigate, and more mobile-friendly, and contains several new pages and features.

Same great content, easier to navigate
If you haven’t had a chance to participate in or view a webinar on Legacy Family Tree Webinars yet, we enthusiastically encourage you to take a look. You’ll find an incredibly wide range of categories and topics to choose from, and if you’ve attended any genealogy conferences or joined our Facebook Live sessions, you’ll find some familiar faces among the speakers as well as additional highly respected experts from all over the world.
Just a few weeks ago, our own Director of Product Management Ran Snir gave an extremely popular webinar on MyHeritage’s latest tools for working with DNA matches and offered a sneak peek at new features currently in development. You can watch it for free here. We recently hosted a month-long online genealogy conference on the site called Webtember — click here to watch the sessions.
The new version of the site makes it easier to find what most interests you: we enhanced the site’s search capabilities and added new filters. We also made it possible to apply filters directly on each page, or conduct a search and filter by category or language to further refine your results.
Additionally, we revamped the speakers page to make it easier for you to learn more information about Legacy’s amazing speakers and view any past or upcoming webinars featuring them.
Better value for paid members
Some of the content on Legacy Family Tree Webinars is free and open to all, but a paid membership provides unlimited, on-demand access to all webinars as well as a host of advanced features and exclusive content. We’ve added some new member-only features, including a dedicated “My List” section where you can access your watch history and webinar registrations, and the option of bookmarking your favorite webinars to view later.
