In the newly added historical record collection 1900 Sweden Census, we uncovered an entry for Carl Olof Larsson, a celebrated Swedish painter.

According to the 1900 Sweden Census, Larsson was an artist and lived at Katarina Rote 13, Stockholms Stad, Sverige at the time. This places him in Stockholm during a period of great artistic productivity, when he was creating some of his most beloved works.

Carl Larsson is best known for his vibrant watercolors, which capture scenes of idyllic family life, Swedish traditions, and domestic harmony.  He also depicted Swedish history on a grand scale, as seen in The Entry of King Gustav Vasa into Stockholm, 1523, which portrays Vasa’s triumphant arrival, marking Sweden’s independence and the rise of the Vasa dynasty.
