The new MyHeritage mobile app has arrived: explore your family tree, capture family moments and much more.
We’re excited to announce the release of the new MyHeritage app for iPhone, iPad and Android (version 1.0). Now you can explore your family tree, capture family moments for future generations and stay in touch with your family anytime, anywhere.
To get started, download the app for free from the App Store or the Android Market and log in to your MyHeritage account. The MyHeritage app automatically syncs all the data with your family site. Not a member yet? Sign up for free on MyHeritage.com, build your family tree and begin the exciting journey into your family history.
Version 1.0 of the app supports multiple trees, multiple family sites and 14 languages (English, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Slovak, Spanish and Swedish). More languages are coming soon. Think that's cool? Read on to learn more about the app.
So, what's included in the new MyHeritage mobile app?
Your family tree like you've never seen it before - The new MyHeritage app was made especially for mobile devices using cutting-edge HTML5, and combines beautiful graphics and touch-screen gestures to create an experience that will impress your relatives and make you proud of your family history.
Explore the tree using pinch-zoom and panning, or easily navigate with our unique radar (iPad only). Tap on a card to view a family member's profile page, where you can browse information and events, view birthday and anniversary info, tap to email or simply give them a call. We're already working hard on additional features, including editing of the family tree which version 1.0 doesn't provide yet, so stay tuned for updates.
Easy photo-sharing - Capture family moments as they happen, quickly share them with the people you love and automatically store them on your family site. Advanced face recognition technology identifies family members in the photo and suggests sharing the photo with them effortlessly. A simple quick-list easy photo sharing created automatically with your closest family members makes photo sharing with family members easier than ever, while a stream of the most recent photos uploaded to your family site ensures that special family moments will never be missed, no matter where you are.
Cool celebrity look-alike feature - Discover your celebrity look-alikes with the MyCeleb feature, based on our face recognition technology and on a huge database of over 4,000 celebrities. Is your celebrity twin a movie star, a top model or a famous pop singer? Find out and share the results on Facebook or Twitter.
Download the app now and impress your relatives this holiday season!
Note: the new MyHeritage app for mobile replaces and supersedes our previous mobile apps FamilyConnect and MyCeleb. If you have used one of them before, install the new app to enjoy all the new features.
Download our new app for free from App Store or Android Market and let the fun begin.
Happy holidays!

I have an Android HTC Wildfire. When I try to download it from the Android Market, I get the message that it canon be installed on my Android. What goes. Wrong?
December 15th, 2011 - 22:08
Peter, on the android market they say that the app doesn’t support the resolution(240*320) of the HTC wildfire, or maybe you have OS under 2.2? hope you’ll get to see the app anyway, it’s really cool. Cheers mate!

December 16th, 2011 - 20:41
You need to be able to select to install both MyHeritahe and Adobe Air on the SD card
December 16th, 2011 - 21:54
Is there an Apple version of My Heritage available, as well?
December 17th, 2011 - 16:13
Cathleen, check out http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/myheritage/id477971748?mt=8
William, I think it’s related to the photo-sharing part of the app, so when it’s on your family site it has all the data of the photo.
Enjoy!
December 17th, 2011 - 18:25
Hi Cathlee. If you are referring to a version of the Family Tree Builder for Mac or Apple, the software does not support the Mac yet but we plan to address this in the future.

Congratulations, at last an app to rival the Ancestry to go app.
I am thrilled at the launch, but haven’t delved into the workings much yet.
December 18th, 2011 - 11:47
Hi Peter. It might be either due to weak device or OS under 2.2. Android market doesn’t allow installation on devices that don’t fit app’s requirements (those requirements are written on the right to the Android market description).
December 18th, 2011 - 11:48
Hi William. In order to have proper EXIF (photo data) of the photo user is uploading, we need to know that. In the future, more geo-location features are planned to be added to enhance genealogical research.
December 18th, 2011 - 12:50
It appears that although I run Android 2.2.1 on my HTC Wildfire it says it is not compatible with this application. Is this so, and will you make the app compatible? If it should be compatible, how do I load the app?
December 19th, 2011 - 05:02
How good, well done ….Using it already…
December 19th, 2011 - 09:04
Hi Albert. MyHeritage app for Android currently does not support Android OS below 2.2 and low resolution screens. The new HTML5-based tree will soon be available on MyHeritage.com. Stay tuned for updates.

Cannot download it to a LG Smartphone, does not support
December 20th, 2011 - 02:43
Won’t download to my LG Optimus Smartphone. Will there be a fix?
December 20th, 2011 - 09:27
Thanks for the, potentially, nice app.
I’ve installed it on the iPad, but i only can see a part of the family tree.
In my case only 47 of 162 persons are shown.
I do not see any option screen for setting, for example, the number of generations to show.
Any idea if this is a tree issue or an app issue ?

Prezados Senhores
O fato de ainda não entrado totalmente no myheritage, versão gratis, é que o números de membros determinados por vocês é pequeno para minha família que cresce uma média de 04 a 06 por ano. Atualmente é de 294 membros.
Abraços
