MyHeritage Adds 143 Million Historical Records in November 2024

In November 2024, we published 143 million historical records from 13 collections. The newly added records come from the United States, Canada, Belgium, Ireland, and Sweden. They include births, marriages, divorces, census data, military draft registrations, and telephone directories. Many of the collections also include images.

This collection contains records of couples from the province of Quebec, Canada, from the year 1500 onwards. Records typically include the name of the groom and the bride, their date and place of birth, date and place of baptism, the date and place of marriage, and the names of their parents. Some records may also include the date and place of death and the place of burial.
Ireland Marriages, 1845-1958
The collection is a register of civil marriage records from all 32 counties of Ireland between the years 1845 and 1921, continuing for the Republic of Ireland until 1958, with a number of entries from Irish citizens who married overseas. Records typically include the name of the bride or groom, and the date and place of marriage. Brides and grooms are both included in the index, but are listed separately under their own individual entries.

United States, World War I Draft Registrations, 1917-1918
This collection contains Draft registration cards of men (aged 18 to 45) in the United States enrolled in the Selective Service System in 1917 and 1918. Each registrant filled in a double-sided card with his name, current residence address, date of birth, place of birth, age, marital status, race, occupation, employer, citizenship status, and next of kin.

In the United States, World War I Draft Registrations, 1917–1918, we discovered a record for Edwin Powell Hubble, the renowned American astronomer whose groundbreaking work laid the foundation for the field of extragalactic astronomy.
This draft registration, filed around 1918 in Walworth County, Wisconsin, offers a glimpse into Hubble’s life before his astronomical fame. At the time, he was an assistant at the University of Chicago, and the record notes that his mother and sister were partially dependent on him.
