Danish Records

The 105 million Danish records on MyHeritage include extremely valuable data to enhance your family history research. After recently adding the 1940 Denmark Census to SuperSearch, we now have the world’s most comprehensive Danish historical record collection.

Denmark Census Records, 1787–1940: Denmark has some of the most consistent and comprehensive census content anywhere, making these 43 million records (which include images of the original documents) a treasure trove for genealogists.

Denmark Church Records, 1576–1919: The 48 million records with images in this collection serve as the vital records for all of Denmark. Lutheran ministers were appointed agents of the Danish Crown, and charged with recording births, marriages, and deaths.

MyHeritage also offers extensive baptism, burial, military, emigration, and probate records from Denmark, which complement the Census and Church collections.

Finnish Records

The 48.6 million Finnish records on MyHeritage are from the most important collections in Finnish genealogical research.

Finland Church Census and Pre-Confirmation Books, 1675–1915: In Finland, children were historically listed in Pre-Confirmation “Children’s Books” until approximately age 15, while adults were documented in the Church Census records. The Church Census and Pre-Confirmation Books include 33.3 million records and they include images of the original documents.

MyHeritage also has 15.3 million Finnish baptism, marriage, and burial records dating back to 1657.
