MyHeritage Named One of the World’s Top Social Networking Sites

We’ve always known it, but now it seems other people are starting to give MyHeritage attention for being one of the world’s most popular social networking sites.

A recent report by eBIZ MBAshows MyHeritage at No. 14 on a list of the Internet’s most popular social networks that includes heavyweights like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

The really pleasing thing about this announcement is that it recognises MyHeritage not just as one of the best sites on the Web for researching and recording family history but, more importantly, as a family-based social network.

There aren’t many other social networking companies that can lay claim to being as family-focused as MyHeritage is  and we are by far the most successful.

To get to this point we’ve worked hard over the years to make it as easy as possible for family members to come together and share the joy of family history research and, of course, the stories that their research reveals.

We’ve done this through Family Pages on our website, through market-leading software like Family Tree Builder and through innovative tools such as Smart Matches, leading edge facial recognition technology (which we’ve incorporated in to fun applications like our Celebrity Collage and Look-a-like meter)  and of course the amazing name research tool Megadex.

A big “Thank You!” to the more than 52 Million members of the MyHeritage community from all over the world who have helped us achieve this amazing success to date. We’ve loved providing you with the best family social networking tools on the Internet and look forward to doing that for a long time to come.

I think Myheritage has been doing an awesome job with the geneolagy tools. Family tree builder is awesome and the other tools too. However, and because i have a lot of members of the family accessing to our family site on my heritage, i would like to see some improvements on the website page. The box where we can post comments on the initial page is very small (only a few ammount of words allowed). I love the event calendar thou! wish you could also have a printable option on pdf or other. Keep up the good work
