Photo of the Week: Guess who?

Are you recognizable in your childhood photos?

At MyHeritage, we want to challenge you. Can you guess the identity of famous celebrities from their childhood photos?

On a weekly basis, we'll share a celebrity photo, offer a few clues, and see if you can identify the person.

Can you guess who this is?

Here are a few clues:

  • This person has been an actor, businessman and politician.
  • This person chose bodybuilding as a career at age 14.
  • This person made their American TV debut alongside Lucille Ball.

Think you know the answer? Leave a comment below. You can also ask for more clues that have yes or no answers.

Good luck!

Competition: Submit Halloween Family Photos for a chance to win

Following last year's fun, we're really excited to be re-running our Halloween Family Photo competition!

Send your most creative and original Halloween family photos and we'll choose three winners to receive a one-year MyHeritage annual data subscription, providing full access to all family history records in our database.

As Halloween approaches and you've started to think about costumes, don't forget to take a photo, or send us an old photo from a Halloween past!

The rules are simple: Upload your photo* to our Facebook Page or Tweet to @MyHeritage using the hashtag #myheritagehalloween. Don't have a Facebook or Twitter account? Email your photo to marketing@myheritage.com.

We'll be looking for the most ghoulish, wacky and creative photos. Remember, we’re all about family here at MyHeritage, so we'd like to see your whole family getting involved. Check out these photos from last year.

Entries close at noon (in your country of submission) on Friday, November 2, 2012, so you’d better get snapping now, if you’d like to get your hands on a one-year MyHeritage annual data subscription!

Don’t get too spooked.

The MyHeritage Team.

The MyHeritage Halloween Family Photo Competition

MyHeritage is looking for the most creative and original Halloween Family photos. Take part and win one of three one-year Premium subscriptions at MyHeritage.com.

Everyone has, we are sure, seen those piles of pumpkins in every supermarket heralding the news that Halloween is just around the corner.

We haven’t had a competition for a while now so, of corpse (sorry), we decided to dust the cobwebs from three free premium subscriptions for one year and put them up for grabs in the MyHeritage Halloween Family Photo Competition!

Share your best Halloween family picture with us, or that old Halloween picture lurking in your photo album.

The rules are simple: upload your photo* to our Facebook Page or send them via Twitter using the hashtag #myheritagehalloweenpics (we recommend you use yfrog.com or twitgoo.com for this). If you do not have a Facebook or Twitter account you can send us your picture to marketing@myheritage.com.

We will be looking for the most ghoulish, wacky and creative photos our community has to offer. Remember, we’re all about family here at MyHeritage, so if your whole family is getting involved, we’d like to see some photo evidence of that!

Entries close at noon on the day after Halloween (1 November 2011), so you’d better get snapping now, if you’d like to get your hands on a one year free premium subscription!

Don’t get too spooked.

Holiday Slideshow

The winter holidays are a unique time of year. Families reunite from across the globe in celebration. It is a time to share, to give, and to recant the year past. For some it is stuffed with spiritual overtones and practice, to others, holidays are a time to imbibe the rituals of seasonal culture. So whether you dress your pine tree with family heirlooms and strands of lights, or eat Latkes in cohort and light the nightly Menorah, or simply pass neatly wrapped packages triumphant with ribbon, it is a time to revel in the good spirit, sing festive songs, and tip a glass to a season that has become a universal holiday.
