Today we spotlight some families that got along well with each other, and also shared the same musical talents and worked together on a daily basis. These family bands toured and performed together over the years.
Here are some of our favorite sibling bands:
The Jackson siblings are possibly the best-known sibling act in history. Founded in 1964, the five brothers -Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael - began singing in talent shows before they entered the professional scene. The Jackson 5 showcased the then tiny Michael Jackson's talents as a solo artist.
The Osmonds began as a barbershop quartet, with four brothers: Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay Osmond. They were later joined by brothers Donny and Jimmy, and appearances were also made by their sister Marie.
Another of the most famous family bands is Sister Sledge. The four sisters - Kim, Debbie, Joni and Kathy - have performed since 1971. Their breakthrough album, "We are Family," was released in 1979, and was a roaring success.
The Bee Gees
The Bee Gees were a disco trio of brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. The height of their career was in the late 1970s, with such hits as "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever."
