Massive discounts on our DNA tests

MyHeritage is happy to announce substantial discounts on DNA tests. As the technology for DNA analysis has matured and now reaches the mainstream, prices of DNA tests for genealogy have become much more affordable and so we are passing on these savings directly to our users.

Our simple cheek-swab DNA tests allow you to make exciting discoveries.

  • Discover your origins and find new relatives: DNA matching can locate relatives based on your DNA, including relatives you never knew you had.
  • Extend your family tree deep into the past: DNA can help you go further back in time than the paper trail of historical records typically allows.
  • Solve lifelong mysteries: DNA can help you overcome "brick walls" in your genealogical research that have eluded you for years.
  • and much more.

MyHeritage is a close partner of the global leader in genetic genealogy, Family Tree DNA, which lets us bring you the best DNA tests and services for genealogical DNA matching. Family Tree DNA has pioneered genetic genealogy and it now enjoys the world's largest DNA database (more than 665,000 DNA records). This means you'll have the best chances for successful DNA matching when you test with MyHeritage and Family Tree DNA.

There are several different types of tests available on MyHeritage, and each one has a different objective, and specific discoveries it can help you make about your family's past. The Y-DNA tests are useful for identifying the deep ancestral origins of your direct paternal line; mtDNA tests are for exploring your direct maternal line; and the Family Finder test is for finding relatives across all lines via autosomal DNA and for producing a percentage breakdown of your ethnic roots.

As of today, you can purchase the popular Family Finder test for only $99 instead of $289, a saving of over 65%, making it the highest quality and least expensive autosomal DNA test on the market. MyHeritage PremiumPlus members enjoy a further discount of 10% on all our DNA tests. For example, Family Finder at $89.10 only! Not a PremiumPlus member yet? Now's a great time to upgrade.

We are also offering deep discounts on the following combo test kits, which were created for users seeking to get the most value from DNA: Y-DNA37 + mtDNAPlus, mtFullSequence, Family Finder + mtDNAPlus, Family Finder + Y-DNA37, Family Finder + mtFullSequence and Comprehensive Genome.

DNA tests provide a great opportunity to learn more about your heritage and uncover your past. All tests are used for genealogical purposes only and do not analyze any disease or medical information. Privacy is strictly enforced. The results are analyzed in an advanced genetic genealogy lab in Houston, Texas and are not shared with anyone but you.

If you have more questions about our DNA tests, read our detailed DNA FAQ.

The prices of these quality tests are now lower than ever before, and cheaper than anywhere else.

  1. Is this DNA testing done by FTDNA, or does myheritage.com have it's own DNA testing lab?
  2. Hi Bill, the tests are processed by our partner FTDNA.
  3. Hi, how far back generations can this DNA test track? Want would be recommended if i wanted both maternal and paternal traced as far back as possible?
  4. Can we upload our current FTDNA results to MyHeritage?
  5. Hi Paul,

The information obtained from DNA testing can be stored for a person in Family Tree Builder. NOTE DNA-related information is stored encrypted in the Family Tree Builder
database. Such information is never published to a family site, nor is it contained in an exported GEDCOM file.

To add DNA information for a person, go into their profile, and choose the More tab. There you will see the DNA Markers button. Select the DNA testing company whose testing kit was used to collect DNA-related information, and then click OK. Select the applicable testing company and test in the Select a test dropdown list. Enter the DNA results in the relevant boxes. Enter the Haplogroup (a major branch on the human family tree) based on this test, if available. Enter SNPs (single nuclide polymorphism) based on this test, if available. Click OK.
