MyHeritage: Technology conference for developers
When we launched SuperSearch - MyHeritage's family history search engine - in June, it created quite a stir in the developer community.
So much, in fact, that we decided to organize a technology conference in our offices where we recently welcomed some 60+ software developers from leading technology companies.
Creating the technology behind SuperSearch, which allows worldwide users to search billions of different records in milliseconds, involved major technological challenges and innovation by MyHeritage's development team. We believed this would be of interest to the tech community.
Attendees at the event included software developers from leading hi-tech organizations such as HP and IBM, with whom we shared technical aspects of SuperSearch, from design to launch, and received great questions and feedback.
We also discussed the challenges of the 1940 US Federal Census project, and how we were able to become the first commercial organization to have all census images online.
As a tech community, it's always a pleasure to share and learn from each other. We enjoyed the event, attended by such high-profile professionals, as we exchanged questions and ideas which offered great value to the tech community.
Thanks to all those who took part.
