I have been interested in family history for years but my family on my dad's side have been tight lipped. I can't find any information that I even exist. :-) I have been researching my husbands side for his mother. I found it interesting that she said the show uses History teachers for the research. It makes sense though. I watched the show tonight and like my cousin I just wish they had focused more on his parents and grandparents. So little time to do so much. But I still enjoyed it. Loved the interview. It's so nice to know what Lisa feels about doing the show. I have to agree with Schelly about the Eastern European Jewish roots. There are some great researchers who have found amazing information in the archives in Europe. But we do have our brickwalls too. The lack of surnames, the Holocaust, border changes and numerous wars to name a just a few of the roadblocks that make it difficult, but not impossible, to search our families. We need to be ever diligent and, in some cases, think creatively about ways to find the information. Fabulous interview. It’s so nice to know what Lisa feels about doing the show.
