I have a great grandfather who is listed in the Census records of the USA about 1900. I have yet to find the record. But had these been destroyed it would have eliminated a great link to my great grandfather who my own father was barely aware of his grandfathers existence. Although we all know that some where there was a great and a grandfather some place. Or we do not get here. Census is one of the most accurate records we can have of the past.
