Family Reunions Around the World

Summertime and the living is easy (or so they say). It's hot, the days are long and kids are running amok around town trying to cool down. What better a time then now to get the extended family together?

We've been hearing some great stories of family reunion traditions around the world and have gathered a few here:

Lang family invades Victoria Park for reunion, a 100-person family reunion that brings together members from Nova Scotia, British Columbia, Alberta, Michigan and the Czech Republic.

Annette John-Hall: A reunion brings together five generations of love and history, a beautiful story of a 86-year-old matriarch and her impressive family of 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Ann's Choice Hosts Longstreth Family Reunion, a very nice story of the Longstreth reunion, celebrating Warminster and some 35,000 relatives.

Whether it's your first family reunion or 50th -- we want to hear how your family celebrates! Please share your photos and stories on our Facebook page.

Happy Summer!

  1. William Thomas Beck (W.T. to his family and frdiens) died 19 September 2009. He was born 28 March 1958 and was 51 years young when he left us. He loved his family and the US Army (sometimes hard to tell which came first). He left behind his wife of almost 29 years, Cherie Lane Beck, and two daughters Rachael Michelle and Heather Nicole.Since his passing he has two beautiful grand-daughters, Emilienne Hope Beck almost 17 months, and Micayla Michelle Beck just seven weeks. They will know their grandpa from stories and memories that his family and frdiens can tell them. I am counting on all of you to help make this possible. He is missed terribly and loved greatly!Cherie Lane Beck
  2. I just found this and it was beautifully written. I'm his youngest daughter the mother of his two grand daughters who are now 3 and almost . They hear about him on a daily basis. My oldest will wave at the aky saying hello Jesus and hello grampa. It brings tears to my eyes every time. I wish he could have met these girls he would have fallen in love as quick as the rest of us. To bad their fathers aren't anyyhi like mine.
