I was brought up with my step-family when my Dad remarried and my own children didn't realise this. When my children started having children of their own they asked about who they looked like...grandma, grandad etc.

I wanted them to meet and know members of my biological family so I started a family tree, added photo's, contacted people (many lived overseas) and brought many people together. Now my children and their children can see all the family branches :)
Like many others it's become an obsession now and I'm more involved than I ever thought I would be :)

I was born in New Zealand and my parents left to go to England in 1948 when I was four years old. I never had much contact with family as we moved around a lot. Then, as I got older, I missed that contact and began to wonder about them all.
It has been wonderful for me to learn more about them. Good things and bad!!!
