I am searching for information about my grandfather, John Odie Grindle or his
brother Joseph Garner Grindle. They migrated from Gainesville(Hall
County),Georgia to Clay County Alabama, between 1888 and 1910. My grandfather was listed as a bound boy with the George T. Hobbs family who lived close to the Sardis Methodist Cemetery. His brother Joseph was listed as a boarder with the William H. Hobbs family and later married Ella Hobbs and his family are all buried in the Sardis
Cemetery. My endeavor is to discover who their parents were and to verify the
connection and continue our genealogy. Any clues or information will be
appreciated. I will be happy to share information which I have developed. I can
be reached at 205-567-6705 or bobnora@bellsouth.net
