Your Chance to Win Tickets to Europe’s Biggest Genealogy Event – this weekend in London

Who Do You Think You Are: Live is the most important UK genealogy event on the 2010 calendar. Coming this weekend – 26-28 February – the show will feature workshops from genealogy experts (like MyHeritage's genealogy manager Daniel Horowitz and UK genealogy advisor Laurence Harris), stalls and exhibitions from the country’s leading genealogy societies and organizations, and talks from celebrities including Kate Humble, Esther Rantzen, and Rory Bremner.

Sounds good, doesn’t it? If you’re thinking of coming along, there’s some good news and some bad news.

The bad news is that tickets are going fast, and Saturday’s event has already sold out. The good news is: MyHeritage are giving away three pairs of day tickets, and we’re about to tell you how you can win them.

What we’d like you to do is to tell us who your favourite celebrity from the Who Do You Think You Are? series has been, and why they stood out. It could be anyone from Bill Oddie to Boris Johnson; what matters is why you found that person’s background fascinating, and what resonated with you about it.

If you’d like to enter this competition, post your answer in the comments and we’ll pick our favourite three entries on Thursday. For the winners, we’ll send out pairs of tickets right away, just in time for you to come along and enjoy the event at the weekend (or we can take them to the event for you and meet you at the entrance).

For those of you who are already planning on attending, why not drop by and say hi to the MyHeritage team? We’re going to be on stall 506, that's from the main entrance towards the back left corner, where the Society of Genealogists has its theatre. And don't forget: Daniel is going to be talking about facial recognition technology in genealogy research at 2.15pm on Sunday and Laurence about Jewish genealogy in the UK later that afternoon. Hopefully we’ll see some of you there!
